This charming period mid-terrace cottage stands in a small, quiet lane in Sway in the New Forest National Park, within walking distance of the mainline railway station of Sway. The New Forest Ponies regularly roam past and you may walk from here straight onto the open forest.

The cottage is comfortably furnished and equipped to a high standard. It is cleaned and maintained by the owner who is always willing to meet any needs guests may have and to offer advice on trips and walks for example to help ensure that you make the most of your New Forest Holiday. 

  

 

 Bring your logs into the sitting room with enjoy a real open fire. There is also a digital TV/DVD and radio/CD.

Or relax over in a meal in the dining room complete with dining room table and chairs and a sofa bed.

There is also a W.C with hand basin.

Hot water and heating is from a combi boiler.

 

 

Heatherview's Idyllic Location

 

Heatherview Self catering Cottage in Sway is ideally located, Sway village itself has a well-stocked general store, a butcher, newsagents, chemist, doctors surgery and a vets, as well as pubs and restaurants/hotels if you decide to eat out. The nearest pub, which serves meals and welcomes children and dogs, is 500 yd's away from Heatherview.

 


Sway Station is on the Poole - Southampton - Waterloo line, there is an hourly service and is ideal if you want to explore the New Forest by 'green transport', such as the bike or bus.

Brockenhurst is ten minutes drive away and represents a a typical New Forest village with cafes, tourist and antiques shops.

Lymington, with it’s Georgian High Street, sailing harbour, interesting shops and Saturday market, is equally close .A ferry runs to the Isle of Wight from here.

Nearby attractions include Beaulieu Abbey and Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens, Bucklers Hard on the Beaulieu River and The New Forest Museum in Lyndhurst.
All of the New Forest National Park is open for walking as is the Solent Way Coast Path, famous for it’s nature reserve. There are excellent beaches between Milford-on-sea and Christchurch harbour. Horse riding, golf, fishing , cycling, wagon rides and boating all within the immediate area and further afield are the cathedral cities of Winchester, Salisbury,and Chichester .Portsmouth, Southampton and Bournemouth offer cinemas, theatre museums and large shopping centres.

Downstairs, Heatherview has a a well equipped kitchen with a pull up table and chairs, which leads out to a small patio with table and chairs. The enclosed garden is laid to lawn and shrubs and is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

There is a clothes line and a shed for bikes and pushchairs, available for your use. The first basket of logs for your fire is in here. More logs can be bought locally. 

 

 

 



Upstairs the cottage has two bedrooms, the first a double room with a 5ft bed, and the second a twin room. They both share a family bathroom with bath with shower over, hand basin and W.C.

You will find the beds made up for you on your arrival, Please bring your own towels.

Guests arrive after 4pm on day of arrival and depart by 10am on day of departure.

Charges are from £300 to £700 a week
Shorter and longer holiday lets may be booked.  
We accept one dog for just £20.
